CC Nomination: Impala

I am nominating Impala for the Core Contributor program as an Infrastructure CC.

Impala has been a valuable contributor to Tari, operating infrastructure like his mining pool and numerous nodes which at times seem to carry the weight of the network. Impala has also published countless other open source tools which many in the community have used, myself included.

Impala was essential in the early days of Tari debugging wallet, network, and pool issues and remains so to this day. Impala’s expertise is often sought out in the various community Telegram channels and he has been essential in troubleshooting the more difficult mining & wallet related issues for community members in the Tari Discord.

Please provide your vote and feedback by August 20th!

This is a :+1: from me!

Havent seen Impala anywhere outside the Discord & Telegram, are we sure he’s up for it or did you talk to him before nominating?

Has my vote with kinkajou.

Yes, I spoke with Impala before nominating and confirmed he is willing and wanting to contribute even more to Tari, but his existing contributions are reason enough for a nomination IMO :slight_smile:

Ack for Impala, I have seen him work hard on tari since day one.

Yes for impala … goat

I vote in support of Impala’s nomination.

Yes vote from me! :+1:

Forums aren’t usually my main point of comms these days, for what it’s worth, yes, Kinkajou did pop in and check with me if I was fine being nominated. Discord is usually the best place to chase me down, but certainly I’m available on forums and such as the position requires.

Approved on my end :+1::+1::folded_hands::folded_hands:

@impala has been doing incredible work in the Tari community for a very long time. I vote yes!

As there are now at least five votes in favor from the electorate (including the implied nomination vote) and no votes from the electorate against, this nomination is confirmed. Welcome to the Core Contributors, @Impala !

I will be reaching out soon with onboarding tasks.
