Having an email service that would permit Tari wallet to be able to send Xtm and receive with an email address ( honeybadger@tariwallet.com) instead of the long wallet address, something like Proton wallet is doing. Now, Tether https://wallet.tether.io/ just added that to their wallet too. New users will find it easier to utilize and more friendly, people are used to email.
This would be super cool! extending that as well, I feel like you could do some pretty cool stuff if you integrated that with something like agentmail.to
It sounds like lighting network for cakewallet. But a dns name for tari is super cool.
how would the system work if you lost control of top level domain? Would it be like ens - they need to publish to link it to a new address - or is the email somehow baked into a key.
If you lose the top domain, it will mean that Tari no longer exists, and your real address will still work. I was thinking about using the now-closed project Skiff Skiff – Private, Encrypted Email - Read more to achieve that, and would use the other components of the project, Pages, Drive and Calendar, as a product to sell for financing Tari.
That would be awesome.
Could this be used for my idea instead of the email? https://xns.rocks/ ,
I disagree. Email requires KYC, and if email is associated with an address, it will expose the user’s identity information, which goes against Tari’s privacy intentions
Email doesn’t require KYC, ![]()
It’s too dangerous for you to think like this. As long as there is an email requesting KYC, users cannot take the risk of exposing their identity. Leaving the risk to users to control is foolish and goes against Tari’s original intention of default privacy.
Too dangerous for me??? ![]()
If you only consider yourself, you may be able to avoid risks, but you cannot guarantee that users will use email addresses that have not undergone KYC and are associated with Tari addresses. Tari is default privacy, don’t you understand?
And what you don’t understand is that there’s not going to be any email address that will have the possibility to be added to the wallet; it will be a TARI EMAIL, so yes, I understand; that’s why I propose to use the now-closed PRIVACY project Skiff for that.
The project you mentioned has all been closed, which is not convincing. Do you want Tari to close it too?
It’s closed because they have joined Notion. Not because the project is not good.
I don’t care if it’s good or not, I only care if Tari is good or not
Now
1: Kraken and Binance have not launched trading pairs,
2: Cakewallet does not support Tari,
3: L2 has not been launched and is not perfect.
Any of the above issues are of higher priority than yours. Focus on the key points first, brother
Binance just removed the Cardano/BNB pair, and you think Binance is going to list Tari? ![]()
Honey_Badger,
Binance removing a low-volume pair is routine maintenance — they do this regularly with pairs that have poor liquidity.
Listing a new Layer-1 project like Tari (with active mining, growing hashrate, and strong privacy narrative) is a completely different decision, made at different maturity stages.
No project starts with full Binance support on day one. That’s exactly why we’re discussing infrastructure priorities here.
Let’s keep discussions constructive instead of mocking.
