Tariorg: an organization with a treasury, on Ootle

Hey everyone :waving_hand:

I’ve been exploring Ootle and wanted to share a little thing I built: tariorg, a member-governed Organization with a treasury.

It’s a full-stack vertical slice: a WASM template, a CLI, and a web UI. The goal was just to see how far Ootle’s primitives get you end-to-end, and honestly I was surprised how much works.

What it does:

  • Members are identified by their top-level signer public key.
  • Organizations hold treasury vaults and can spend from them.
  • Governance proposals with a configurable quorum: add a member, remove a member, or send funds.

You can poke at it right now, no walletd setup needed (in-browser demo accounts on Esmeralda):

Fair warning: this is very much a toy / exploration, not production code. I built it to learn (components, access rules, indexer-driven UIs, walletd auth) and hopefully spark some ideas. If there’s interest, I’d love to grow it into something real.

It’s public domain (Unlicense), so please steal anything useful.

I’d genuinely appreciate any feedback, where you imagine this could go, what makes no sense to you.

Thanks for reading, and thanks to everyone building Ootle :raising_hands:

@n0izn0iz , are you planning to submit this to the September Contest? You should consider it!

Welcome to the forum. I’m glad my guidance on discord helped you past your initial hiccup with building this. I will check out what you built this week, like I mentioned before.

Glad you got it working! Did you end up doing all this yourself because I know last time we messaged you said no agents were used and it was just you.

When I messaged you on discord I was exploring without AI, wrote the template, cli and basic UI without it (hand rolled cbor AST converters was.. fun?). But I used a lot of AI after, to make a prettier UI, better UX, write the e2e tests helpers and help me with communication (my social skills are terrible).

There is no shame to that at all IMHO. You did a great job.

You built the core yourself, then brought AI in later for the tedious stuff like polishing UI, UX, tests and communication. That is exactly how I think it should be used. AI can be a force multiplier, but it should not get to wear the armor and pretend it fought the whole battle.

This is the way  glad you are building on Tari!
