September Contest Thread

Submitting WunschSwap for the September contest.
What it is.
A peer-to-peer swap of voucher codes for tTARI. Two strangers trade a gift card for crypto
with no escrow, no platform and no KYC, and the voucher provider does not have to cooperate: it works against a website that has never heard of it, by witnessing the requests that site already serves. The voucher code is never revealed to any third party, the notaries witness the redemption using a fork of TLSNotary’s tlsnGitHub - tlsnotary/tlsn: Rust implementation of the TLSNotary protocol · GitHub.
That enables us to only reveal the necessary info to the notaries and no account details.

Why it is worth building
What Tari does different is privacy and usability by design. Trading a fiat denominated code for crypto is notoriously difficult. Things like Reto Swap for monero work but are not easy to use and require trust in a third party beyond the centralised service that provides the voucher. A code is a one-shot secret, so it cannot be published or escrowed the usual way. It is never published. The seller delivers it encrypted to a key the buyer chose, the buyer spends it at the provider’s own site, and the chain releases the price only against a proof that the provider’s own balance moved by exactly the face value. The attestors who produce that proof are drawn at random, are bonded, and never see the code: they co-compute the redemption as the MPC follower, so the code’s bytes are zeros in their transcript.

Where it is. A working on-chain applet, a phone app that makes its own wallet and carries its own Tor, a
live provider to mock a real one and six bonded attestors on a VPS. Two emulated phones have walked trades to Final with the provider’s balance moving by exactly the voucher’s face value. Testnet, not audited.
