I’ve been thinking for a while about a use case that shows the world what the Ootle testnet can actually do. We’ve had the tech, but not many applications where people can plug in and play with it directly. Messaging felt like the natural first use case, everyone gets it, and it’s the perfect canvas to fuse in private payments.
So, introducing Caravel.
Private messages and private money in one conversation. Encrypted chat over Nostr, confidential payments on the Ootle, both derived from a single seed. You can message someone and send them value privately without ever leaving the thread.
It’s live now on the Ootle testnet. It’s beta, so expect rough edges, and that’s exactly the point. I want people testing it, breaking it, and telling us what’s off or what could be better.
