CC Nomination: Yushan Ren

I am nominating Yushan Ren (@towords) for the Core Contributor program as a Community CC.

Yushan has been part of the Tari community for more than a year. He is a long standing member and administrator of two Chinese community groups, Tari Chinese and Tari Million Club.

Throughout this time, he has consistently helped manage the Chinese community, answered questions seriously, and helped Chinese users understand and use Tari.

He is also an administrator of the Tari Show Archives channel and has consistently maintained and updated its content:

Yushan wrote a detailed Chinese guide on best practices for the Tari command line wallet. It helps Chinese users understand how to configure and use a Minotari node and command line wallet:

In addition to community management and technical documentation, he writes longer Chinese articles about Tari, Mimblewimble, and blockchain privacy on his personal blog.

One article is titled Security Issues in Mimblewimble: From Theory to Practice, with a Focus on Tari:

This article discusses Mimblewimble’s privacy mechanisms, security risks, historical examples, and how these issues relate to Tari.

Another article is titled Privacy Is a Right, Not a Choice:

This article discusses the importance of blockchain privacy and the role of mandatory privacy networks such as XMR and XTM.

Based on more than a year of working and communicating with him, I consider Yushan a reliable and consistent contributor to the Chinese Tari community. His contributions include community management, answering user questions, maintaining community resources, writing technical guides, and creating educational content about privacy technology.

I believe he would be a good Community CC and would continue helping Tari’s Chinese community develop.

Yushan has confirmed that he is willing to accept this nomination.

If selecting “No”, please provide feedback in this thread. Note that only CCs and Council members may vote in this poll.

That’s what you call a community project where the members have no say in voting?

No formal voting process can operate with an unbound electorate. The CCs are ones who induct CCs, and, during the bootstrap period (up until the 11th CC is inducted) the council may vote as well.

You can express your opinion on the nomination here in the thread. These threads are open for comment.
